Events

The EPS promotes excellent research in physics through the organisation and recognition of physics conferences in Europe that meet high scientific standards. The quality labels 'Europhysics Conferences' and 'EPS Recognised Conferences', have been established to guide physicists in their choice of conferences and attest to the accessibility, quality and timeliness of physics events in Europe. The EPS and the Université de Haute Alsace (UHA) jointly organise two 'Conférences Exceptionnelles' per year by prominent speakers open to the general public.

COMMUNITY CALENDAR

The EPS organises many of Europe's leading physics conferences. It also give to non-EPS conferences the Recognised Conference Label.

CONFERENCES EXCEPTIONNELLES

INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF LIGHT

The European Physical Society launched a global project aiming at a United Nations proclamation of an International Year of Light in 2015.
